Occupation: Mortgage Planner / Mixed Martial Arts
Fighter.
...
just the FACTS
Born: Walnut Creek, CA
Resides: Concord, CA
Birth date: 2-12-1981 ( I have the exact same bday as
Abraham Lincoln so I'm convinced that that's a sign that I'm
going to be a very important person someday). Another random
fact is that I have a birth mark on my thumb that clearly
looks like 99, the year I graduated high school.
Sign: Aquarius
Height: 6 ft
Weight: 195 lbs (I fight at 185 lb, middleweight class)
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Green
Family: I have an older brother named Ken who is 30 and an
older sister named Dana who's 28. They are both really big
so I'm the runt of the family. The joke was that at the
dinner table they'd eat everything first so there'd only be
the scraps left over for me hence the size difference. My
bro's 6.4 and 300 lbs and my sis is 6.1 and has competed in
the Olympic trials 3 times for shot put and discos.
Ethnicity: I'm a Swedish meatball. my mom's pure sweed and
my dad's a bit of Scottish, English, and Swedish
Status: Never married, no children.
Want children: Yes, I'd like to have some one day once I
meet the right person to have them with children.
Engaged before: Never - I have only had probably 2 or 3
serious relationships in my entire life. I'm not
anti-relationships or anything like that. I just take it day
by day and if the right person comes along than I'm in. I
just don't think you should have an agenda b/c you'll force
something that isn't natural which can only turn out bad.
There's a reason the divorce rate in the US is 64% right
now. I don't plan on contributing to that statistic
Nonsmoker - I hate cigarettes. They're dirty. Although
I'm somewhat of a hypocrite b/c I actually smoked for a
summer in high school. I still ride BMX but back then it was
my life and I was worried that I might grow too big to ride
like my bro and sister so I started smoking b/c I wanted to
stunt my growth. However it only lasted for the summer cause
wrestling season was coming up so I had to quit.
Education: Grad from UC Davis is 04 with major in economics
and minor in communications.
History:
I started wrestling when I was 9 and wrestled up until
college so moving into MMA was a natural transition. I love
to compete and extreme activities is what I'm all about so
it was I believe that it was inevitable that I would step
into the cage.
Income: $100,000 - $150,000
... on HIMSELF
Strengths: "My positive attitude and outlook on life
and ability to make my friends laugh. I always see the glass
as half full and I look at life everyday is a new exciting
adventure. I'm a big believer that life is what you make of
it. If your life sucks, it's b/c you suck. You have to
create opportunities and good times in your life."
Weakness: "Like every guy, I'm terrible about talking
about my emotions and feelings. It's funny b/c when a buddy
has girl issues, I think I know it all and have all the
advice but when it's my feelings at hand, I'm like a
12-year-old retarded kid. I'm a bit unorganized."
Others may not see: "That I'm really a humble laid back
and down-to-earth person."
I've been known to ... "randomly appear on the evening
news in my underwear ; )."
Interests: "Pretty much I'm an adrenaline junkie. If
it's not scary, it's not fun. So, MMA, BMX (like on the X
Games - I actually used to ride pro and rode in the X Games
qualifier before). I love outdoor everything. Living a
healthy lifestyle (outside of drinking and dangerous fun
activities). I'm not in a band but sometimes I'll show up to
my buddie's gigs and jump in to sing when they do a song I
know."
Turn-ons: "Everything. I'm definitely in touch with my
sexual being."
Turn-offs: "Being over dramatic, smoking, clinginess,
snoring, persistent girls who never get the hint when I
don't return any phone calls, emails, texts, myspace
messages etc, DO I HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU!!!!!! Jesus,
some women amaze me ..."
Special Talents: "Singing, drawing, BMX, wrestling,
singing, MMA, I can tear up anything on two wheels."
Titles: "5 Pro MMA victories, consistently
placing in top 20 at pro BMX contests. I fight for the
Gladiator Challenge fight circuit and also Strikeforce (airs
on Showtime). My victories range from 2003-present. My next
big fight is in June and July."
Charities: "Well, it wasn't for charity but I've picked
up trash on the side road many times which no matter how you
look at it, benefited my community = )."
15 minutes of fame: "I've been on "Real TV"
about a million times over the years for stripping on the
top of a traffic light signal on New Years in Tahoe. It also
aired on the show Maximum Exposure: Too drunk for TV. I've
also been the poster boy for a lot of MMA events so you'll
see my posters up at all the local happening night spots in
the bay area etc. I'm also on the cover of an MMA movie that
will be at blockbuster called "TKO." What can I
say, I work hard and I play hard. Sometimes a bit too hard
apparently but hey, you only live once. No regrets
right?"
Travels: "I'm pretty unexposed. As I get older, I
realize more and more that the rest of the world is not like
Northern California so I 'd like to travel to some third
world countries b/c I think experiences like that would
really change my perspective on life and make me more
appreciative of what I have around me and the opportunities
before me."
Spirituality: "My mom took us to church as kids but as
I grew up religion just sort of faded away. I'm a very open
minded person and completely respect religion. It's just not
on the front seat of my life."
Fashion sense: "I'm a pretty well dressed guy. I prefer
the casual look especially since I'm in a suit and tie all
day. Jeans, tennis shoes, and a T-shirt is pretty much
wardrobe outside of work. At home, I'd say I have the surfer
style vibe to my clothes. My business style is a
contemporary classic look like Hugo boss, Calvin Klein,
etc."
Staying healthy: "Whether I'm training for a fight or
not, my diet is consistently healthy. With MMA, I train
wrestling, jui jitsu and kickboxing at least 5 days a week.
When I'm close to a fight it's Monday through Saturday. When
I'm not fighting then I'm running, riding BMX, lifting
weights. I'm pretty hyper guy so I'm always involved in so
sort of physical activity. And yes, I'll still have a six
pack when I'm sixty."
What touches my soul: "Family, my niece Maddy, and my
mom (I'm definitely a mama's boy and I'm not scared to say
it. Lol). Music gets a pretty good hold of me as well."
... on WOMEN
I first notice ... "her eyes."
Attention-getter: "Ignore me."
Ideal woman: "Me as a female. Lol."
I can't resist a woman who ... "makes me laugh."
Most important quality in a woman: "Attitude."
Ideal date: "I like to do fun things so hiking,
camping, going to an MMA event."
What makes me call a woman back after a first date:
"Chemistry. You have it or you don't. Period."
I'd never date a woman who ... "smokes regularly."
How I show I care: "I think it's the little things that
make a difference so little unexpected notes and gifts left
on a door step to be unexpectedly found after a long day at
work to let her know she's special."
What makes a woman unforgettable: "A casual laid back
attitude and the ability to laugh."
I wish women understood ... "the advice I give to my
girl friends (girls who are friends) is that whatever pops
in to your head, just do the opposite. Like `I know I've
only been dating him for 2 weeks but I feel like calling him
cuddle cakes in front of all his friends ...' need I say
more?"
One thing a woman has never done for me yet, but I would
love it: "A surprise romantic dinner."
... on RELATIONSHIPS
On relationships/marriage: "Relationships are great
when you find the right person. Another one humorous
philosophy is that relationships are like a pair of pants.
You see them on the rack and at first they look great and
seem like a good idea. So you agree to buy them, wear them
around for a week or two, and then after you've walked
around in them for a while, you know whether to throw `em
back or keep on wearing them. Sometimes the best looking
pair turn out to be the most uncomfortable thing you've ever
worn and vice versa."
Why a relationship is important to me: "Relationships
are important to me when it's the right fit. However, I'm a
pretty independent person so I'm content living the single
life as well."
What I love most about being in a relationship: "The
companionship. I enjoy being able to share experiences both
the good and bad with someone who relates with me and feels
what I feel."
Top relationship keys: "Communication, I'll say it
again ... COMMUNICATION!!"
A woman in a relationship with me can expect ...
"there's a lot of things I'll do to a women, but the
one thing I'll never do is Bore them."
What I expect: "Reciprocity. If I scratch your back,
you scratch mine. Good deal."
When I'm in love, I ... "have a glow to me where you
can just look at me and see it."
What makes me feel close to a woman: "Blunt honesty.
Being able to say what you think without any judgment or
recourse."
Greatest relationship lesson: "Learning to communicate
my true feelings up front."
What makes a woman marriage material: "Being open
minded, adventurous, and the rest I'm still trying to figure
out."
... on SEX
What makes sex good: "Communication all day long, as
much as I'd love to believe I know it all, I realize that I
can't read your mind so a little direction is always
appreciated."
I feel my sexiest ... "after a hard work out."
Most sensual part of a woman's body: "Her neck."
Sexiest thing a woman can wear in private: "Boy
shorts."
Surefire way to seduce me: "When women make sexually
challenging comments."
... on LIFE
Making my mark: "By entertaining the hell out everyone
who crosses my path."
Responsibility to society: "Put people ahead of profits
and the profits will follow."
Valuable life lesson: "No matter where you are in life,
there's always better opportunities out there if you just
keep your eye's open to see it."
One thing I can't live without: "Dangerously
entertaining past time activities."
I must ... "see the world, be a father, be financially
free."
Best advice received: "My mom always taught me to see
the good in every situation and that mentality has
influenced the decisions I've made that I believe have made
me successful in life and the goals I've set for myself.
"
Best advice I've given a woman: "If it feels good do
it."
... on HIS FAVORITE THINGS
Movie: "Gladiator, 300, Shawshank Redemption."
TV Show: "Sopranos."
Book: "High Trust Selling."
Music: "Alice in Chains, Sublime, Aerosmith. If I'm
working out rock, if I'm out partying hip hop."
Food: "I LOVE SUSHI and pretty much anything wrapped up
in tortilla."
... final THOUGHTS
Wheels: "2006 Lifted Ford 150."
Pets: "Black Lab."
Tattoos/piercings: "I have a tribal tattoo on my upper
right arm, a tribal piece on my back with my last name
worked into it from shoulder to shoulder. My tattoo's are
clean looking and everything's covered by a T-shirt so I can
be formal when I need to."
Always in my refrigerator: "Milk, eggs, coffee,
teriyaki sauce, chicken."
Hottest possession: "My couch!! It's seriously the most
comfortable couch EVER!!! It's so comfortable that I brag
about it!! Who does that?!! Lol."
I'd change places for 24 hours with ... "Donald Trump
so I could understand the mind set capable of truly
monumental success."
I'd most like to hang out with ... "Dane Cook because
I'd laugh myself to death. That would be a good thing."
Celeb I'd love to take on a date: "Cameron Diaz b/c
she's high energy and athletic like me."
Why I'm a great catch: "Because if you're the right one
for me, I'll worship the ground you walk on and let you know
how much I love you every day of the week."
Me in a word: "High-energy."
