... on HIMSELF

Strengths: "Creativity and sense of humor. I'm outgoing, ambitious and willing to take risks. I'm hungry to do it all."

Weaknesses: "I can be indecisiveness at times. My surfing ability! Coming from Nebraska, I still get worked over by the ocean pretty good. It's pretty sad."

Others may not see: "A very competitive spirit. I don't compete in sports anymore so it's all about my work. I want to be the best. And at least make a mark here in Hawaii."

I've been known to ... "get a little sappy about living in the country and living the simple life. I kind of miss just being outdoors and working with animals and the land. I sit in front of a computer all day, I feel sometimes it's sucking the life out of me. That's really a big part of why I love it here so much, is the fact that I can hike and surf and it's such a different element that being stuck in the middle of a mainland. I'm surrounded by ocean."

Interests: "Experimenting with many different types of design, building, and traveling the world. I love motorcycles, going hiking, just exploring. I Iove to deep sea fish. My dream is to have a boat here sometime soon. Right now I'm just renovating my home in Waikiki and that's kind of consuming my life right now. I'm a block from the ocean."

Turn-ons: "A sexy dancer, the water, a perfect kiss. I don't like to have everything figured out. I like to question where it is I want to go and what I want to see. I'm always interested in meeting new people from different places. I think the more you see, and the more you experience, the hungrier you get. You realize you know so little about the world."

Turn-offs: "Obnoxiousness, stupid drunks. Just loud, obnoxious drunks. Narrow-mindedness, egotistical individuals, dishonesty."

Special Talents: "Somewhat artistic. I do paint quite a bit. I do multi media, a lot of oils, acrylics, I like charcoal a lot. I like using plaster and wax and real textural stuff. No, I'm not a good guitar player. Karaoke is really big out here and I have some buddies who are just ridiculous and so I get up on stage."

Titles: "Accredited Professional in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Judge for the International Drag Queen Competition. That was unbelievable. It was the time of my life. I was so impressed with the passion and the creativity these men put into their costumes. It was just absolutely hilarious."

Charities: "Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes Chairman, Waikiki Community Center."

15 minutes of fame: "Emceed the Miss Hawaii pageant, 2003."

Travels: "Lived in Rome 2000-2001. I took a semester to study over there and work for the summer. I was actually a tour guide for a while. I just had all the tourists convinced that I was an Italian who spoke English really well. Traveled much of Europe, Iceland, Mexico, Canada & US"

Spirituality: "Agnostic."

Fashion sense: "Bipolar: Like nothing but board shorts all weekend then looking the part of an architect during the week. Cowboy boots ... since I grew up in Nebraska!"

Staying healthy: "The ocean for body and soul, gym, hiking, and love cooking fresh seafood!"

What touches my soul: "Love like my grandparents had together - a spark that never dies."

... on WOMEN

I first notice ... "a great smile ... sexy lips, the walk."

Attention-getters: "By not trying to be the center of attention, sexy and confident with a degree of mystery. Also wearing a Led Zeppelin T-shirt! I think confidence is very sexy."

Ideal woman: "I hope to find a woman who has a balance between her own personal goals and ambitions with a sense that life is not complete without sharing love and dreams with a partner and family. Confident, independent, but who can also be laid back. A girl I can take deep sea fishing. I love to just get down and dirty and then clean it up and do something dressy. I like spunkiness or feisty. Someone you can give a hard time to and they'll dish it right back."

I can't resist a woman who ... "can continuously challenge me, make me laugh, wrestle in the sand during the day and be a sexy, sophisticated diva at night!"

Most important quality in a woman: "Wits + Intelligence. That will make that person attractive for hopefully a lifetime."

Ideal date: "A sunset sail with great wine and great music ... then either hot salsa dancing or relaxing on the beach with a bonfire and the sound of the ocean."

What makes me call a woman back after a first date: "I like so many different types of people that I believe that strong chemistry is most important - The feeling is hard to describe but I think everyone knows what I mean. The feeling that you have to know more about a person and can't wait for the moment you kiss."

I would never date a woman who ... "is narrow minded and judgmental - lacks spontaneity."

How I show I care: "Spontaneity - I like to create little surprises that show that I think about her everyday. Big or small ... I know that a note saying she has been on my mind all day can mean a lot! I think I'm romantic. Hawaii is an easy place to be romantic."

What makes a woman unforgettable: "Back to chemistry - I think when everything seems to fall into place as if it was destiny. A woman who is funny and sensual that makes me ache inside."

I wish women understood ... "that if you continuously question relationship trust, fidelity, commitment. We think in our minds that you must be projecting guilt from something that you have done wrong. I in turn get suspicious."

One thing a woman has never done for me yet, but I would love it: "Get completely covered in paint and roll around on a huge canvas. That's be a lot of fun. Get naked, cover each other in paint, roll around on a canvas and then just frame it. And nobody knows exactly what the story is behind it."

... on RELATIONSHIPS

On relationships: "I think that relationships are work. This is not a bad thing, but for a long term relationship or marriage to last, I think both parties have work at keeping a balance between their personal and shared lives, as well as never taking the other for
granted. I have no qualms in settling down if I just meet the right person. I definitely want to have a family. It's more of a matter of just being with someone that you can be on a different emotional level than just your friends. Sometimes you just need to confide in someone and you can be totally honest with someone. I think you get to a point physical too, and it's nice to be with one person and really know what makes that person tick."

Top relationship keys: "Conversation/communication - I think that lust and passion will fade, but if the person you are with is intriguing and makes you see the world with a new perspective, the attraction will never die."

A woman in a relationship with me can expect ... "to laugh, to be given my attention and consideration. To eat, drink and seek out the best things that life has to offer! She can expect adventure, I'm always trying to think of new and different things to do, besides the typical dinner, movie."

What I expect: "An adventurous spirit, open mind, and to tell me your opinion."

When I'm in love, I ... "forget about time and money and make sure that I make the most out of any moment."

What makes me feel close to a woman: "When you can be with someone who you don't have to hide anything from. I think if you make it clear to be honest about everything, you really can be free to open your heart."

Greatest relationship lesson: "Don't stay in a relationship out of convenience and comfort. If you feel that person in not the kind of person you can grow with, let it go."

What makes a woman marriage material: "A balance of life and love. I admire those who work hard and play hard. I hope to find a woman who has direction and something that she is passionate about as well as the ability to be free spirited and adventurous in love."

... on SEX

What makes sex good: "When I can have the best of both worlds. The hot - can't wait to rip your clothes off sex, and the very slow - teasing - kiss every inch of your body sex."

I feel my sexiest when ... "After the beach when I have been in the sun and water all day, jump in the shower and crawl into bed with some aloe and bare skin."

Most sensual part of a woman's body: "The neck is my favorite! I love its sensitivity as well as just being able to smell an amazing woman's hair and skin. That can drive me crazy!"

Sexiest thing a woman can wear in private: "A thin worn out T-shirt and some hot undies!"

Surefire way to seduce me: "I am very turned on by water. Kissing me in the ocean, a pool, or the shower and I am done!"

... on LIFE

Making my mark: "I really think that my legacy will be through the architecture that I have the opportunity to create. It is such a gratifying feeling to see something you have designed come to life with the people you created it for."

Responsibility to society: "I am very interested in sustainable design and how beautiful, healthy buildings can be developed. I know it will be the future of architecture."

Valuable life lesson: "That I feel the most alive when I am out of my element. I have found that I'm at my best when I have taken on a new challenge and need to learn and adapt quickly to new environments. Adventures and risks always have helped me grow!"

I must ... "Go on an African Safari with my dad, get my pilot's license, really learn to play the guitar. My parents are moved to Tasania. Before I was born they lived in Ghana for 5 years, then came back to the states to start a family. It's kind of a dream to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and do a safari with my dad."

Best advice received: "Make a list of what it is you want to accomplish and who can help you. It is amazing when you realize how so many people around you are willing to help you reach your goals. Just be willing to ask and respect their gifts."

Best advice I've given a woman: "Don't over analyze - it is an amazing waste of time and energy."

... on HIS FAVORITE THINGS

Movie: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hero was amazing."

TV Show: "The Daily Show."

Book: "The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged."

Music: "Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Manu Ciao, The Doors, Jack Johnson."

Food: "Peanut butter, lamb souvlaki, spicy ahi poke, Brie. I go through a jar of peanut butter a week, you can put that as a weakness. "

... final THOUGHTS

Tattoos: "One tattoo - Native American Medicine Wheel on my right shoulder It's supposed to give me inner power and balance."

Always in my refrigerator: "Gallon of milk, lots of cheese, and tons of sauces."

Hottest possession: "Easel & camera."

I would change places for 24 hours with ... "Neil Armstrong July 20, 1969. I think that would just be one of the most exhilarating feelings of all time. Outer space, the moon, I just can't imagine."

I would most like to hang out with ... "Jim Morrison, 1967. I just love The Doors and he's just like crazy creative, his poetry. I'd like to just pick his brain."

Celeb I'd love to take on a date: "Mila Jovovich - I have had a ridiculous crush on her forever! As an international model, actress, singer ... I'm sure she has had an interesting life. Oh ... and she is gorgeous."

Why I'm such a great catch: "I want to live life to the absolute fullest! Hopefully, I can always keep things interesting. And just try to be one of those people who brings out the best in another."

Me in a word: "Intrepid."
