             NATE

... the FACTS

Born: Phoenixville, a suburb of Philadelphia

Resides: Salt Lake City, Utah

Birth date: 9-29-76

Sign: Libra

Height: 6'

Hair: Light brown

Eyes: Green

Family: There are 8 kids. I'm number 6. 7 boys and one girl. Parents still together. My parents are in Chapel Hill, NC and everyone else is just scattered across the country, most are married.

Status: Never married, no children

Want children: Yes, I don't know about that many but I don't mind large families. It depends on whatever my future wife wants. I'll do whatever I can to support the number she wants. I'd like it to be in the next 10 years at least but I'm flexible.

Nonsmoker

Education: Psychology degree from BYU. It's related to the structural therapy because a lot of chronic pain has to do with your mind relating to your body. Masters degree in structural therapy.

Occupation: Professional rock musician.  The band is called The Happies, we're alternative rock. The new album is out in stores across the country. Its called "If We Were Really Here." Our first album was self released and it did well on the Indie charts. But this one is with a record label. It's actually a Salt Lake label. I sing and play bass guitar. We're all like lead singers so whoever writes the song is the lead singer for the song, kind of like The Beatles. We're going on tour this summer (starting in May 06) actually across the country (www.thehappies.net). Structural therapist (for helping patients with chronic pain). I have a private practice for the therapy and a private practice for the photography.

... on HIMSELF

Strengths: "I'm very genuine and I treat people well. I care about others. I'm fun with my friends. When I don't know people I can be a little shy at first but not extreme. I have a good sense of humor. I'm creative, ambitious. I have all these things going on."

Weakness: "Sometimes I can be late for things, not extremely late but I lose track of time, I really get into my activities."

Others may not see: "Sometimes people look at me like I'm just some good looking guy but I feel that I'm quite intelligent, that I'm not just looks, I have a brain. People think things come to me easy but I work really hard for the things that I get in life."

I've been known to ... "joke around a lot. I like to have fun. I'll be random sometimes just to make people laugh. People who know me know that I have a sense of humor, it's a little bit unique, I like to do random things to make people laugh. I'll just say things that catch people totally off guard. It's a little offbeat."

Interests: "I really like to do outdoor stuff like hiking and camping, but I also love music and the art stuff, like photography. I like sports. I do a lot of beach sports but not in Salt Lake. I used to live in Hawaii, surf, so anything in the water."

Turn-ons: "Natural beauty. I love it when people are just real, when they're genuine. It's a total turn off when people are fake and they're not themselves and they try to be something they're not. I love to meet new people. I love it when I meet someone who is totally genuine, they don't have any fake presence. I love doing activities, just the outdoors in general, just being out in nature. I love riding waves at sunset."

Turn-offs: "Negative people. People who don't do anything with their lives. Lazy people. Women who are fake, I can't stand when they do all this fake stuff to themselves."

Special Talents: "Artistic/musical. I speak Spanish fluently. I play the bass guitar and keyboards. I shoot fashion photography and I like to work with kids too."

Charities: "I actually dream of opening a free clinic with the therapy business I'm in. That's my goal to one day have a clinic where I can work on people who can't afford it. I was an Eagle Scout and I've done a service oriented mission with my church."

15 minutes of fame: "I'm a model too. I've been in some national commercials (Nordic Trak, Sprint). I've been in a lot of ads with Nordstrom, Nu Skin, Coca Cola."

Travels: "I've been all over Europe, the US, Canada,. Mexico and the Caribbean. I've been all over the world."

Spirituality: "I'm very religious. I'm Mormon. The things that give me joy in life are serving God. That's what gives me joy. I go to church every Sunday. Spirituality is huge. I want to share the same values with a woman."

Fashion sense: "I'm really casual. I'm a professional rock musician, it's kind of alternative but at the same time a little bit fashionable so kinda like those surfers in CA dress or maybe a snowboarder out here in Utah. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy."

Staying healthy: "I walk a lot. I'd rather walk places than drive unless it's far. I enjoy being outside in nature, walking, so that's how I stay in shape. I also lift weights and eat really healthy."

What touches my soul: "God, of course. When I really meet someone and I get to know who someone is, I just really appreciate people."

... on WOMEN

Attention-getters: "When I see someone who isn't wearing a lot of makeup and they're still pretty. That catches my eye. And somebody who takes care of themselves. If I saw someone I really wanted to meet, yeah, I would approach her but kind of shyly I'm sure. I'm not like the guy who totally hits on girls."

Ideal woman: "Someone who loves other people and loves themselves in a healthy way. And takes care of themselves, they look healthy. Someone who is spiritual yet understands how the world goes too. They're fun, a sense of humor's great. Because it can get dull if they don't get anything I say."

I can't resist a woman who ... "smiles at me. Someone who just treats me well is hard to resist."

Most important quality in a woman: "Her relationship with God. It helps me understand how she'll treat me."

Ideal date: "I like going to community events like local shows with local bands or an art festival or go hiking, something fun like that. I prefer something active because you get to know someone. You get to know them at dinner too. I like to talk to them so going to dinner, I do that too. Going to dinner then going to an activity. Or if the activity is during the day, going to dinner afterwards."

I'd call a woman back after a first date ... "if we connected. If it just made sense and it just felt right to call them."

I'd never date a woman who ... "doesn't want to have kids."

How I show I care: "I let her know, first of all. I treat her well, like the little things I make sure I do them. If she mentions something, I won't forget it and I'll be sure that it will happen. I am romantic."

What makes a woman unforgettable: "I had a girlfriend 10 years ago. She was so real. She would tell people exactly what was on her mind and it was really liberating for me. I don't want to offend people but I learned to just say it like it is and not worry if people get offended. We had a lot of interests in common, we always wanted to do the same stuff."

... on RELATIONSHIPS

On relationship/marriage: "A relationship is important to me. I want to be married someday. I'd love to have a girlfriend. I love relationships. I love spending time with someone. It gives me a best friend, someone to share my thoughts and feelings with, my time. Someone who is excited about my successes and the joys I go through. And vice versa. I'd love to be someone's number one fan. I'd love to have a girlfriend so I could be there for her."

Top relationship keys: "I think when there's communication and both are trying to make the other happy. They're not being selfish."

A woman in a relationship with me can expect ... "to spend lots of time with me. Not too much, I mean, I'm not like a clinger. What's in store? Lots of activity and hopefully a lot of fun."

What I expect: "Someone who can understand that I'm not going to be perfect. No one's perfect. It's hard when girls expect you to be perfect and then they get upset when you make a mistake. Just be forgiving and accepting of a guy's weaknesses. That's another thing, guys even though they're all macho, usually they have a heart too and they can get their feelings hurt. Women should realize that just like themselves they wouldn't want to be ripped on."

When I'm in love, ... "the whole world is more beautiful and more colorful. I have a smile on my face 24/7."

What makes me feel close to a woman: "Our communication, the way we talk to each other and express feelings."

Greatest relationship lesson: "Fighting is not worth it. Instead of fighting, never raise your voice and try to see the other person's point of view."

What makes a woman marriage material: "When she has her priorities and her life together."

... on LIFE

Making my mark: "With my therapy business, I want to have that therapy for people who cant afford it. I also want with the band, the name of the band is The Happies, it's good feel-good music. It's not stuff that's degrading."

Responsibility to society: "I think everyone does, just the way you live your life affects society. I try to be kind to people and try to help whoever needs. I participate in service projects, like Saturday I was out raking leaves and trimming bushes at some old lady's house. Just things like that, just making a difference where people can't do things for themselves."

Valuable life lesson: "We have so many opportunities, be sure to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way."

I must ... "I'd love to get married and have a family. I'd love to do the charity therapy business. With my band, I'd love to be able to tour the world."

Best advice received: "I follow a lot of Christian advice. I'll follow the Golden Rule or Christ's teachings."

Best advice I've given a woman: "Be grateful for what you have because when you look at the positive, it just accentuates it, it males it so that's your reality."

... on HIS FAVORITE THINGS

Movie: "Star Wars Trilogy."

TV Show: "The Cosby Show, Seinfeld."

Book: "The Alchemist."

Music: "The Beatles."

Food: "Seafood, Italian."

... final THOUGHTS

Wheels: "SUV."

Always in my refrigerator: "Pasta."

Hottest possession: "My relationship with my family."

I would change places for 24 hours with ... "my brother so I can see how I'm treating him so I can improve my own qualities. It would be nice to see how I am from the outside."

I would most like to hang out with ... "Jesus. I could learn more from him than anyone else. I'd like to learn."

Why I'm such a great catch: "I honestly will treat them like a queen, just someone very valuable to me."

Me in a word: "Happy."
