As I was working to get ELIGIBLE Magazine off the ground, many people asked me why I wanted to publish this magazine. The catalyst was a successful and attractive friend of mine who confessed to me that she couldn't find a decent guy. Although single myself, I have always believed that men of quality do exist, and so I decided to dispel the myth that "All the good ones are taken."

First, I established a standard that the men had to meet, based upon conversations with numerous women. I found that beyond the commonly mentioned traits regarding intelligence, appearance and success, women appreciate men who possess a unique magnetism, a noble spirit and a strength that comes from being comfortable with who they are. After months of extensive research and countless interviews, my staff and I selected some of the most desirable bachelors in the country.

Once the genesis of the magazine was complete, I began to focus on my readers. The lifestyles of women have changed dramatically over the years. I discovered that there was a need for a publication that adequately addressed the expansive audience of women who are marrying and having children later, staying in careers for lifetimes, learning more and earning more and making their own decisions. Eligible is committed not only to exploring those issues important to independent women, but to tackling those topics - everything from finance to fitness, the latest technology to our most intimate relationships - in a straightforward, informative and entertaining manner.

So here we are in the 21st century, and in keeping with the times Eligible Magazine is now www.eligiblemag.com. We will stay true to the integrity of ELIGIBLE Magazine and along with articles on topics pertinent to the single woman, we will continue to bring you some of the sexiest and most eligible bachelors in the United States and around the world.

Be daring, take a risk, follow your heart and email any of the bachelors you find intriguing. I would also love to hear any comments you may have about anything you have read or seen within our pages. With your feedback, I'll be better equipped to respond to your needs in the future. And remember, we are always looking for a few good men, so please forward any eligible bachelor suggestions to us.

All the Best,
